Position Overview:

The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide evaluation, diagnosis, and therapeutic services to students with speech, language, and communication needs. The SLP will collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student achievement and compliance with special education requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct speech and language evaluations and develop reports

• Provide direct and indirect therapy services to students

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

• Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and other staff

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines

• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams

• Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

• Valid Michigan licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist

• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred (or Clinical Fellowship candidate considered)

• Approval or eligibility for approval through the Michigan Department of Education Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
