Position Overview:

Rudyard Area Schools is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to support students in a Special Education setting. The selected candidate will work closely with a student, providing individual support while fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. This role involves assisting lead teachers in the classroom and maintaining strong, positive interactions with staff and students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to an assigned student, prioritizing their needs each day

• Assist lead teachers with classroom instruction and activities

• Maintain positive, professional interactions with all staff and students

• Support a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment

• Demonstrate reliability and consistent attendance

• Confidentiality and willingness to support all members of our school district

Qualifications:

• Ability to work effectively with students and staff

• Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills

• Dependability and commitment to student success

Compensation & Schedule:

• $15.50-$17.00 per hour with paid lunch and breaks throughout the week

• Approximately 35 hours per week with indoor and outdoor support for students

• Employment follows the school calendar with PTO earned monthly
