Stigma Free is a student led prevention group for students grades 9-12. Stigma Free works through advocacy and relationship building to educate youth on mental health concerns within schools and communities. It’s a built-in peer to peer support against things like bullying and peer pressure. Our students work to develop their leadership skills and spend time together discussing their stressors/experience as high school students. They also spend time getting to know people they might not usually spend time with.
Stigma Free was granted money from the Community Foundation to work on developing a mentorship program in our school.
