Karen Perkins is our Wellness Center nurse and program coordinator.  She has been working at the clinic since it opened in the fall of 2011.  Some of the services she provides to our students include first aid, chronic disease case management, nutrition education and counseling, reproductive health education and support, and tobacco cessation groups.  She received her bachelors degree in nursing from LSSU in 2007 and worked at WMH for 4 years before taking the position here at Rudyard Schools.  Her experience prior to this position was OB, Medical/Surgical, and Psychiatric nursing.  She is married and has three children, two of whom graduated from Rudyard and one who currently attends RAS.  She loves the outdoors and enjoys spending time hunting, fishing, and camping with her family.
