• Meet Ms. Clark
    Ms. Clark
Hi!  My name is Ms Nikki Clark.  I began teaching at Rudyard Area Schools in 2002.  I am a 1996 graduate of Rudyard High School.  Go Bulldogs!  I graduated from LSSU with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education in 2001.  I have taught all grade levels K-5 in some capacity and am excited about being back in 4th grade!
I would like to share with you my teaching philosophy.  First, I believe in respecting every child.  Every child in my classroom will be treated with respect and kindness. I have high expectations for every child in my class.  I feel learning has to be meaningful and engaging for the students in order for them to do their best.  I also feel that every child needs to feel good about themselves and the accomplishments that they have made.

I try to keep my classroom as hands-on as I can.  We will have fun and interesting activities that will challenge the children and keep them busy.  We will work on reading, writing, math, science, social studies.  We will build relationships with one another that foster a caring, respectful classroom.

Communication between home and school is the key to success for your child.  I will provide this through our backpack folders, newsletters, Class Dojo, classroom website, email, phone and parent-teacher conferences.  My weekly newsletter will be posted on Class Dojo and the classroom website.  I will not be sending home paper copies unless you contact me.  This saves on paper and I have found that parents/guardians like the digital form best to refer back to.  If you have any questions or concerns don't hesitate to call or email.  nclark@eupschools.org or (906) 478-3771 ext 6307

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.  I like to read, work in my yard, golf, and watch sports.  Michigan State and the Detroit Tigers are my two favorite teams.
I look forward to an exciting year with your child.
Rudyard Area Schools is a great place to work and learn!
